We are pleased to announce the third Benjamin Franklin Summer Institute with South and Central Asia (BFSI) will be held June 24 – July 20, 2012 at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. The Institute will bring together 45 teenagers aged 16-18 from India, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the United States.

We want you to be a HOST FAMILY! Curious about other cultures? Want to share a bit of American culture with a foreign student? Have an extra bedroom and bed(s) for a student (up to three)? Then we invite you to host a student(s) for 10 nights during the program in your home (night of June 29 to morning of July 9, or 3 or more days).  If interested, please visit our information page for Host Families.

Watch the following short video of one of our 2010 Fellow from Pakistan, Rokhan Safir, who with two other exchange students organized a three-day youth leadership institute for 30 Pakistani youth. The video tells of their exchange program experience and the institute they held in March 2011.

Thank you for your interest! We look forward to meeting all our 2012 Fellows and Host Families soon!!
